As soon as I saw smothered turkey wings I had to give them a try, along with the macaroni and cheese and cabbage. I gave it a 3 because I’ve definitely had better macaroni & cheese and cabbage. The turkey wings were average, I did like the gravy.
I was craving grandma’s Home cooked meal, I got that just short of seasoning and the macaroni & cheese was dry.
I might try it again, different sides though.
This is the real deal. Authentic soul food and great customer service. You haven’t tasted DC until you’ve had Sweetpea’s. Oh, and be sure to have their smothered chicken. The meat is so tender that it falls off the bone.
Good afternoon, I would like to say that I have found a new place to eat when I am in DC. The food was really delicious. Thank you family for the love inspiring conversation and love filled food. May Allah continue to keep you and your family safe and well. Brooklyn, Bedford stuyvesant is in the house.
Great food and amazing service. Everyone is always so kind and welcoming, and you never have too long for your food. The menu has a lot of variety as well, so there's always something new to try. Love this place
Wow is the word for this new southern style cooking it’s will make your day to stop by and try it for yourself. The atmosphere is wonderful and the chefs are really a team. Some say it’s pricey but when you taste the food that won’t matter. Stop by on Saturday before 9 and pick up Sunday dinner. Theresa King
