Best roast beef Sammy I’ve ever had. And I got a hand full of free pastrami too. Can’t complain about that!
I had the Roasted Turkey sandwich.
Things I loved about it:
- Avocado
- Bacon
- Bread
The turkey was ok, too cold for me. They didn’t have any sauces :/
Red Apron Butchery's flagship location in downtown DC is great and this is their stand in Union Market. There's something about their flagship that deserves a high rating, but their stand is not as good. Here are the pros and cons:
-Pros:
- Alcohol list: They have beers on tap, in a can, cocktails, and even a cider. They allow you to carry your drink throughout the entire market.
- Seating: They have a bar and two long tables to enjoy your food.
-Con:
-Food: It was just meh. We ordered the fries and they came out cold and not the best fries in DC.
If you're in Union Market and want a drink to walk around with, go here!
The sandwiches at Red Apron are really tasty, but it seems a bit pricey although you could probably say that for most of Union Market. The Porkstrami sandwich though was really tasty, moist and full of flavor and the French fried are really a great as they are cooked with fresh herbs. Also seem to have a butcher's counter as well and they are best busy. The flow to the inside counter to order is a little non-intuitive as you pass the menu to order, but very tasty food. Not enough seating though for this busy stall.
Delicious food, warm & friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere! This is the perfect spot to stop by with a date & have some gourmet sandwiches and drinks.
Beer selection is moderate but satisfyingly eclectic.
Great place!
