Potbelly Sandwich Shop

Decent place in downtown NW area. Fast service and nice food

The food was fine as always (a wreck on wheat, ftw) but the staff could not have been more disinterested in service. A hefty line formed behind me, off hours, with hardly a slow trickle of new customers arriving. The guy making sandwiches was on autopilot and tended to assume orders rather than ask questions, but at least he was at his station: he couldn't interest the cashier into manning the till. A chocolate milkshake was delicious, yet it too lacked the touch that makes the place great. Potbelly puts a little graham cracker ring around the straws of milkshakes. It's a little thing, but one worth showing off to people here for the first time. This milkshake didn't even come with a straw.

Loved the jersey cheese steak and turkey bacon. The coffee smoothie was also great, though not very strong on the coffee flavor. Staff was cheerful and helpful. Nice cozy place to get in out of the rain.

Delicious sandwiches and a great atmosphere. The store is really cool looking and has an upstairs for more seating.

The staff was a bit abrupt to my party though.
