Decided to visit this relatively new sushi spot in our neighborhood. We ordered a range of nigiri in addition to some rolls. Our server also made some great recommendations and was very attentive throughout our meal. Everything from the service to the food was outstanding. The sushi was very fresh and on par, if not better, than some of the more hyped-up spots in DC, ie Nobu. Will definitely return hungry for more.
Bottom line: very overpriced and underwhelming.
Because I live basically on top of Nama, I tried it. Each item was ok, and each item was clearly overpriced. I highly recommend that if you are looking for sushi, sushi bar appetizers, or hibachi, you walk to two blocks to Momiji. The food is better and fairly priced. (The cocktails at the upstairs bar at Momiji are very good as well.)
Delicious cheesecake! Small plates were excellent! Maki rolls were good but nothing special. Service was great
Awesome tuna poke - probably the best I’ve ever had!
Fish is great quality and very fresh - best sushi spot in this part of the city!
Tasty sushi, great atmosphere...we will be back.
