The food here is great. But they have an odd rule — single people are only allowed to sit at the bar. Even if they have plentiful empty small tables and there is no wait, no line. I would normally be happy to sit at the bar, but at 5pm on a weekday the small bar is full. Being told I had to wait for a bar stool because I was a party of 1 was a bit depressing. So my sad single Liz Lemon self will have to limit my visits to off-hours...
Wow. This place is phenomenal, both food and service. We tried every dish here and the “must orders” are pictured below.
Special shout out on the mind blowing egg drop soup. 110% must try. The cheese adds a whole new dimension of umami.
Super cool place, small menu of really unique and delicious offerings. Loved the cocktails (they were strong and complex, my favorite was the beet negroni). Actually the best bread I've had in DC, and I'm from New York and very picky about my bread. Service was great! Can't wait to go back.
Fantastic food! Spaghetti with XO sauce is a perfect love affair of Asian and Italian flavors and textures. Comfort food for our souls especially during cold winter. Worth to try their assortment of interesting cocktails. Two main pasta dishes and two drinks $56 dollars. Good price and quality. Cool interior.
This is a small Asian and Italian restaurant in the Novel apartments. The menu is split with some Italian and some Asian dishes, so it's not really a fusion. The restaurant has a very fresh take on all their dishes. I had the egg drop soup which was very fresh with unique toppings. It was elevated compared to the egg drop soup you'd get at a typical Chinese restaurant. It is supposed to be themed around the 90s, but I didn't really get that from the decor or menu. The only 90s I could see were some VHS tapes above the bar. I would highly recommend this place for a chill date night or drinks with friends.
