The perfect coffee shop. Great “house” lattes that you can order off the menu, tons of open space that make the cafe feel airy and large. Music player at an appropriate level and there is a good amount of seating (though it did fill up in the morning quickly). The food was yummy - only suggestion I offer (and my missing star) is that the granola dish needs more yogurt. There was maybe a 2-1 granola to yogurt ratio that made this a pretty dry dish.
Great coffee shop to pop into with a nice atmosphere. Good amount of indoor seating to get some work done. It's usually pretty busy when I visit. I tried a new seasonal drink called Sweater Weather that had tahini, vanilla, and some other spices in it. The girl recommended it hot. It was surprisingly very comforting. I drank the whole thing on my walk up to the Eastern Market. They've got a few items like bagels, scones, and parfaits for food, but I was looking for other dairy free options.
I ordered an iced dark chocolate mocha just to try something new. It was $8 (tax and tip included) for an 8 oz serving. There were several groups having meetings and working with their laptops. Since it closes at 2, not great for me to work from - we were just about to order lunch.
One of the best avocado toast I’ve ever had! Coffee was good but not impressive. A little pricey but I would recommend it for a once in a while stop
This is a pretty standard DC coffee shop. I like the food and the coffee isn't bad. Of course, the prices are higher than I think they should be, but what can ya do? It has a nice atmosphere and everyone has always been kind and helpful.
I like the seating setup. When you walk in you are at the ordering station. If you want to dine in you walk to the back away from the bustle. It does a good job of allowing people to come in and out to grab coffee, while still maintaining a comfortable space for those dining in.
It isn't an exceptional coffee shop but it gets the job done.
