Awesome food with plenty of options for all dietary needs. Open kitchen concept is really nice. Servers are knowledgeable and the family style offering makes service very quick.
My group was originally planning on eating at Hanumnah but since it was only their temporary location, we wanted to eat a full meal at Doi Moi.
We walked in around 6 on a Saturday night while the restaurant was still extremely empty. I understand the need to reserve tables for reservations but the hostess should be able to figure out how to accommodate a walk in of 3 before later reservations. She eventually sat us despite giving us some attitude. The server took even more time greeting us while other tables around us were greeted in a timely manner. Server was not the most attentive but the service was fine. Food arrived in decent time as they were ready.
Service: 3/5
The food arrived in decent time even if the smaller plates arrived after some of the larger plates.
We ordered pork belly steamed bun, Samosas, basil fried rice, noodles, and a curry dish. The food was extremely good. Everything was spiced perfectly and had a very authentic taste to each of these dishes without having too much sauce or anything. Everything was delectable and the drinks were also pretty delicious. Would go back just for the food.
Food: 5/5
Always a great experience. Menu is interesting and well prepared. Drinks are on point and the outside patio gives you that city ambiance / people watching that you crave.
Really nice space, great staff. There are a lot of options and the portions are fairly large but everything I tried was really enjoyable. Nice level of spice by default, enough to make it interesting no so much it dominates the dish but they are happy to accommodate. Great outing.
Oh this place is to die for it's so GOOD! Made me happy to have a chance to celebrate my heritage AND expand my foodie pallet. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking to try fantastic pan Asian cuisine.
