Potentially the past super negative reviews were warranted, but I just went for the first time today and had a great experience.
For the price you cannot beat the selection and the crab fried rice and the Peking duck was super solid and presented nicely. Would go back just to order that again multiple times. Service was a good pace, some items came out quickly while others took a bit longer. To address some of the criticism about service, today’s staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They even changed out our plates a few times and were super quick to top off bottomless drinks.
There is something for everyone here, and given location, price, variety I’d say well worth it. Looking forward to going back.
We enjoyed the unlimited dimsum and more. I thought the $38pp was very reasonable for about 25 different food items. Yes there's an automatic gratuity which was about $7.50 pp, but I didn't find that ridiculous when servers has to come to your table for at least 10 times taking unlimited orders and unlimited plates. The place is packed and for some customers may be too tight as I've seen.
The servers may not meet your expectations, they are very busy. It's like a marketplace lol. Loud, constantly walking past you and may not remember to smile. No big deal for me because I came for my dimsum haha.
We tried almost everything. And my favorite was the chicken claw aka chicken feet, husband loved the stuffed crab claw. The pork siomai, shrimp dumpling, fried beef dumpling, pineapple fried rice were other items I would have loved to get more of but ran out of space in my body. They were great! Didn't care for the spring roll and pork bun. We tried all the desserts and found them all great. Husband loved the purple bun and I loved the sesame ball, wished it had the beans inside though. But all great!
The food was freshly cooked and steaming hot! Will I come back? Yes absolutely.
honestly the dimsum was mid. soup dumplings and shrimp dumplings had thick skin. cucumbers and chicken feet were good. also portions are small, with most dim sum having only 3 pieces.
the crab meat tofu was a pleasant surprise.
What and awesome concept in Georgetown DC. Priced at $48 option B covers A&B choices. Which includes a nice portion of Peking duck, chicken veg- dumplings, three treasure seafood, snow pea leaf, lotus leaf whit fish in special sauce, and dessert options. $18 for a bottomless mimosa 3 options they have a full drink menu as well. Excellent service food comes out hot and very tasty. Give this restaurant a try you will be happy. Leanne and Carolyn were amazing servers.
Small portions for the price. Also their buns didn’t even taste as good as these frozen ones you can get from grocery stores. The seats near the bar were very uncomfortable. Try to avoid to sit there. However, the bartender here could make a drink though. It was delicious! The waitress was very nice too.
