Ordered the beef shawarma via Door dash for pickup.

    1. The food - the shawarma was pretty fantastic but a couple nitpicky things:

    - Shawarmas often have some fries in the sandwich and the description said it did. It did not.
    - The description did not indicate that it would have tomatoes and lettuce. It did. I think the sandwich was better for it but just an FYI.
    - The tahini sauce was great but there was a ton so, if it had been hanging out for a while before it got to me, it probably would have been a pretty soggy sandwich. I'd suggest that the owners put the tahini on the side to avoid this.
    - The steak was good but I was a little sad it wasn't grilled.
    - The description says the sandwich is wrapped in a tortilla which I thought was a little suspect. It turns out it was more like laffa or somesuch. Fairly thin, not overly leavened and a pretty good wrap.

    2. The location - it's a ghost kitchen sort of thing in what is oddly called Ivy City Food Works since it's not really anywhere near Ivy City. Naming aside, it seems very organized and I kind of love it. There are a bunch of kitchens that operate out of the building. You place your order either on one of the apps or on a touch screen when you get there. If you've ordered beforehand, you check in on a touch screen when you arrive, it will tell you your foods ETA and, when your food is ready, it tells you on the overhead screen. The overhead screen also notes which of the numbered cubbies that are on the wall your food is located in.

The area is maybe a bit sketch at night but there is a nice parking lot along side the building and I'm assuming they probably have it lit up very well. Note that, while there are a few tables outside, all the restaurants operating out of here are take out so there isn't really anywhere to sit and eat.

The food is of superb quality and always fresh . The "Halal" meat just has a unique taste and blessing for those who do not know.
The location is horrible. They need to be located near Uptown DC. George Town or around Adams Morgan area.
The Service is great (so far). Hope it will remain so.
Some of the dishes (being raised and born in the Middle East) and from a family of great cooks and Chefs are not that great.
The Hummos needs to be redone (wont say how).
    The Rice can be better.
The falafil and shawirma are well made, however, there is better in greater Washington area. Remember Shawafil (H St. NE) which was unfortunately closed? That was the Master Shawirma and Falafil Place.
Good thingy no alcohol served or would never eat there.
And please keep annoying smokers away . Some people like to live longer and smell good.
Staff is friendly including the founder/owner.
They do not accept cash (not very convenient).
The portions are fair. You can always ask for extra food.
More Middle Eastern famous dishes can be added to the Menu. However, will leave that decision to "Hayoush" Staff/Owners.
Do not like to use the star rating. 4/5/6/100 does not make the review accurate.

This place is delicious. We got take out. We tried the Meze platter, beef shawarma, chicken shawarma, baklava and rice pudding. I especially loved the beef shawarma. the beef was well spiced and the sauce was so good. Everything was so tasty, fresh and well prepared. I'm definitely going back.
