    Oh my goodness! I just tried this amazing restaurant in Highland SE DC for the first time and, it definitely won't be my last visit! Their menu options range from laid-back classics to fancy dishes, so there's something for everyone. The service is inviting and friendly. My meal came out hot and delicious, almost like I whipped it up myself... only way better! Can't wait to go back and try more tasty treats.

    So this my first time having this food . We did a to go order for Public Service Recognition week. I got the Cajun Mari gras pasta 10/10 and the chicken empanadas 10/10 . The food is so flavorful and fresh honestly will be visiting again for dine experience.

    This excellent family owned restaurant has a sophisticated multicultural American menu including grilled shrimp with beautiful creamy grits; fried green tomatoes, chicken and waffles…the menu features American-style dishes that will leave you craving more. From succulent seafood entrees to hearty pasta, steak, and pork chop platters, there's something for everyone at Highlands.

    This place is amazing. The service was phenomenal. The food (Juanita’s Breakfast and Open Faced Shrimp Omelet) were one of the best dishes we’ve ever tried. The music playing was great. The waiting time was swift. We were on vacations in DC, and we are grateful to have found this hidden gem

    The Highlands Cafe and Grill is a brand new restaurant in the Penn Branch Shopping Center but behind it and next to the Planet Fitness. I went today for breakfast with the family, and it was a great experience. This place has a great neighborhood feel to it, which is good considering I live about a block from there. The service and food were great, as were the portions. You can tell the menu is rooted in family recipes and classic dishes, some with a modern twist to them. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they have a bar inside as well. About 40 people in all can enjoy themselves inside. Penn Branch needed a restaurant we can call our own, and Highlands Cafe and Grill delivers on that.
