Tesoro Trattoria & Pizzeria

I was taught that you can anticipate the the quality of a restaurant's food by their house wine. To its credit, Tesoro bears out that rule. The wine and food are reliably enjoyable. I find the seafood skewers and salads particularly delicious, but have dined with friends who adored various pasta dishes and entrees. Tesoro's staff is, hands down, the friendliest and most accommodating in the neighborhood. Although you don't quite forget you're in DC and only the owners hail from Puglia, there is a genuine, animated, confidence to Tesoro's cuisine and service that somehow make it feel unmistakably Italian in spirit. It's a perfect place to celebrate everyday joys and relationships.

Had great time with my family for dinner last night! Food was delicious! Daughter loved her time there and enjoyed the pizza! The bartender made delicious drinks. The lasagna was fantastic! If you have the time definitely go check it out. Great food and reasonable pricing!.

A gamble that paid off immensely! We are visiting the area- know nothing but what we google as we were in search of dinner- we wandered past this place twice, wondering if we should or shouldn’t try it- and OMG!So glad we did! The food was rustic and delicious, so fresh and layers of delightful flavor. Service was on spot and so polite, unobtrusive, yet completely attentive. I can not tell you how delighted and happy we are with this choice to try eating here! If you want perfect proportions, quality food, great prices, and outstanding service- check out this spot! I am so happy we gave it a shot and I am dying to see how many more amazing things come from the kitchen of the new owner

This restaurant has just reopened with new owners. I can't say enough good things about the dinner I had tonight. The server was fantastic and he was attentive without
hovering. The food was delicious and the portion size was perfect. Highly recommend that you give this restaurant a try
