Root & Pecker

My first time eating here, won't be my last! Wonderful food, very friendly staff ????
I had the Raw Broccoli Salad...SO good!!

We used to dine at Root & Pecker quite often. The food was very delicious and appealing. However, we just went there recently and the food was very lackluster. I understand that the ingredients used are organic and local but we spent $34 on three items, $10 for a small smoothie that was way too sweet and was barely consumable, the sourdough waffles were pretty tasty but the presentation was undesirable and the bacon on the BLTFE was way more sweet than it used to be. Like I said, we used dine there very frequently but something changed and it's not like how it used to be or maybe it's just the breakfast that's not great.

My meal was delicious. I have been meaning to try the place for years. The prices raised an eyebrow, but then I read the stories of all the regional companies and farms they partner with for their business. I truly appreciate the business model and realize why prices may be higher than expected. The time to be served was longer than expected as well, but I assume it was made to order. I will be back with friends when we feel like splurging a little!
