(January 1, 2020, 4:14 pm)Matsuri has finished their relocation in about two weeks. Amazing, given that they spent almost 30 years at the prior location. The new location is busy and the traffic pattern in the parking area a bit crazy. But it is a prime, busy area for residents like me, guests at the many nearby hotels and travelers on I-75. I hope it’s great for them, even if it means that I have to time my visits and take-out orders better. The space is a bit bigger but accommodates about the same number of diners, albeit in a cooler environment.

(December 8, 2019, 1:59 am)Great place for authentic Japanese cuisine. Got the salmon roll, red snapper, unagi, salmon roe and sea eel. The salmon was very flavorful and buttery. The snapper was very fresh and I haven't had salmon roe of such quality in Florida until now. It tasted like I was in Asia again. I will have to come again to try the Sea Urchin. They were already sold out by the time I got there!

(September 20, 2019, 4:18 pm)Went last night and this place is great! Fresh delicious fish. Good service. Everyone was super friendly. Sit at the sushi bar and ask for some fresh stuff. This place is in the top 2 sushi restaurants in Gainesville, maybe even THE best.
