Backwater

I've been trying for months to get in for breakfast but there's always a line. That usually means it's good so I kept trying. When I finally got in, expectations were high.

Thankfully, the food was awesome. Good flavor and well made. They do the classics really well but they also have some unique dishes. The staff was really nice and the whole ambiance was enjoyable.

Definitely recommended, my only complaint is the line. But hey, I'd wait.

My husband and I are staying a few days here in this beautiful area. We are staying a few blocks from old downtown Melbourne and walked by this restaurant and very time there were people outside waiting to get in. We knew we had to try it.

We went for a late breakfast and now we know why the line. We were able to get right in as most people wait for the tables that have the griddles on them. You can cook your own pancakes right there!

We decided to go for a traditional breakfast. The food is absolutely fantastic - excellent quality.

I had their pick your own omelette, along with home fries and their beautiful biscuit. My husband had fried eggs, bacon (one of the best out there), along with wonderful wheat toast and home fries.

I can’ say how incredible the food is. The staff is truly accommodating and friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful. They are only open for breakfast (served all day) and lunch. We can’t wait to return.

Something new from the old breakfast routine. Kids love it. You can either sit back, order and let them cook or sit at a griddle table and make your own pancakes with all the toppings. More food than you can eat and the best biscuits and gravy you've ever had!!

The pancakes are the call for this place!! Bacon is great also. The wait cam be a bit, so make sure to come ready to stand in line. Children of all ages will love the make your own pancakes. The motif is pretty cool Southern feel. Staff makes the place 5 stars, super attentive even in the busy times

Food was delicious. The menu has a lot of different options. Our waitress was really great and very personable. We didn't sit at a griddle table, but they looked awesome. The decor looked fantastic, and everything went together well.
