Meg O’Malleys Restaurant & Irish Pub

Met some friends there for the Women's World Cup, USA vs France. The place was packed with fans, all TVs were on the game and the sound was up! It was electrifying when we scored and eventually won! Great place to watch a game!
All food ordered was good.
They could improve the AC effectiveness or add fans? Felt a little warm. Also sound for the game is not great in the middle to back side of the pub side booths. Need more speakers there.
All in all, no place I'd rather watch a game, other than Live!

Took my hubby and daughter and a friend for Father’s Day
Hubby had Potato balls for appetizers and daughter in I had crab and shrimp cake was very good.
We also bean soup for .18 cents was awesome!
With the brown hot bread very good!
Hubby had the Irish stew very tender meat.
My daughter had clam strips and fries good and well priced.Our friend had the cabbage rolls and pot pie that looked amazing! I had the fisherman pie was disappointing maybe three shrimp and tiny if not existing at all scallops with more haddock and salmon and not worth 17 bucks, would never order that again! On to deserts we ordered 3 and spoons for all, the bread pudding was amazing also the blondes with ice cream was amazing, but the death by chocolate Irish version was very dry.
Big crowd if you like noisy places service is very good! So 4 star is all I could give was hoping for a 5 star dining experience. Would we go again yes maybe but earlier before the crowd and order more of their traditional Irish items next visit!

The food quality is high. The staff and waitress are respectful and professional. The orders are served in a timely manner. Ingredients are fresh. I personally love the atmosphere and the music.
Sometime the music/band is loud and annoying. I usually take a booth on the right side where it is more quiet, but you still have the music on the background which is nice.
Meg’s is our my only spot if I go to Downtown Melbourne.

We are new to the area and have been there twice. Elizabeth our bartender was awesome! She offered the delicious bean soup and made sure we were well taken care of. Food was delicious. Definitely will be a regular. Thank you Elizabeth for making us feel welcomed!

Had a really great meal and excellent service on our first ever visit to Melbourne. We had walked passed it while shopping in the surrounding area and had been told by locals that it was a must try. Definitely glad we took their advice. Tasty food, fun atmosphere, and everything was very decently priced. We will for sure be back to Melbourne and will make sure we come back to dine again. Recommend the Pot Pie and the Sampler (stew, bangers and mash, and Shepard pie)
