Hemingway's Tavern

What a great place to have lunch. We sat at the bar because there was a wait for a table. The decor is unique and keeps you looking. There were a lot of good sounding items on the menu and I choose BBQ. The sandwich was good, but I took off a star because I don't think it's cooked there. I'm from NC and picky about my BBQ. This would be a great place to catch dinner and then watch a movie next door at The Oaks theater.

Food and service were great! Outdoor seating is a nice experience especially with live music. A little on the pricier side but portions were adequate to fill you up. Certainly a nice place to bring family or loved ones. Ending the evening with a movie next door and you’ve got yourself quite the night

Food was enjoyable and very tasty. Service was excellent. Menu has too many spicy concoctions and limited information on what spices are in menu selections. Tried an IPA that was absolutely horrible.

Lighting was a bit dark making it tough to read the menu.

Atmosphere was otherwise nice with minimal noise. Nice outdoor seating available.

Very nice atmosphere, and a nice selection on the menu. Price range is $$. Outside or inside seating, full bar and the food is great. "Snapper Hemingway" is excellent. Well worth the price. Highly recommend and definitely going to come back.

I just discovered this place recently and I'm glad I did. I just happened upon it after leaving a movie at 'The Oaks' theaters.

I tried the 'Jerk' snapper sandwich and it was really good! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. The brioche bun was the perfect wrap, if you will, for this nice fish sandwich!

The jerk flavor was on point and the fish was cooked to perfection. It was also a really nice piece of fish also!. I've often wanted to find a place to get a really good fish sandwich, and NO, fast food spots don't have good fish sandwiches, so don't even try to suggest that Mickey D's or the B.K Lounge has a good fish sandwich!

I also wanted to find a place with a good fish sandwich that you don't feel like you have to, 'go-out' in order to get good fish. However, Hemingway's is just as nice a spot to sit and chill while enjoying good food and drinks as any sit down spot. In other words, it's so cool and casual, you will feel just as comfortable ordering take out as if it was just grabbing something from a fast food joint but with Quality food! My only suggestion right now is to have a designated place to pick up orders from the bar! I found it a little difficult to find a spot at the bar, with it being packed with people, to get the attention of a bar tender to get my to-go order but the manager on duty did eventually notice me and took care of me quickly! Nice job manager!

I'll definitely be back to try other delicious sounding items off of their menu.
