“I took myself out to dinner for the first time in 2 1/2 months. My server was wonderful! I'm sorry I don't remember her name. The margarita she made for me was fantastic!! The food, however, was just so-so. Steak was overcooked and the shrimp for the add a side of shrimp were tiny little salad shrimp. Definitely not worth the money for it. The server offered to get a new steak, but I was hungry, so I ate it. The manager came over and apologized. From where I was sitting, it sounded like the cook was giving the servers a hard time. Management may want to find a new cook.”

“For a city of almost 70k people, Weston didn’t have a great Mexican restaurant, that’s until Santa Catarina opened!!! The decor and mood are exceptional...the food is very good (everything was a bit more spicy than I like it but it was very good). The waitresses, although you could tell they probably haven’t been waitresses before, were very attentive). Finally, I don’t have to go out of Weston to enjoy one of my favorite cuisines!!!”

They did end up forgetting the sauce I ordered, however I called and kindly spoke to the manager and she was kind in return. “Was craving oxtails yesterday & so I decided to stop by & they were delicious with white rice & cabbage.. they were quite full with meat and the gravy tasted so good. That alone was my reason for returning today to try their curry chicken. This time I chose rice and peas because I’m very particular about rice and wanted to try their other option, I was very pleased with both ... very juicy chicken with hints of spiciness. Last thing, I normally don’t like plantains because they’re overly sweet but low and behold Mamas Kitchen made them to perfection & to the flavor I prefer. Great prices!!! Will be returning”

It was a great experience. Note: due to proximity to 3 schools, avoid this place in school zone driving times. The wait is only long just before & after school, when the teens crowd in.
