EL Pegao

A great authentic Puerto Rican restaurant. Very clean, great service, and the food was excellent! I had the roasted pork with yellow rice and pigeon peas. Great portions, It was more than I could eat, and had to get a to-go box. The flank steak really looked good, and I plan on getting that next time. You won’t be disappointed!

Great people and great food! My first experience with authentic Puerto Rican food and it was excellent. Servers took the time to explain the menu and recommend different dishes to try. Will definitely cost again to try other items.

I'm actually pretty bleh about it now. Back when it was still El Palermo, it used to be one of the best places to get food from back home and I used to frequent it a lot. Now though, I don't know what's going on but the quality and service have really lowered. I've gone a good handful of times after the change just to give it time since it was newer but every visit just felt like less enjoyable each time. And that's disappointing because it used to be so good. I just hope they go back to their roots cause what they're serving and how they serve is definitely not the quality I had come to know of the place. =/

Good food, ok price. White and yellow rice were good. Mofongo had great taste. Shrimp was a bit bland with too much garlic. Waitress was really helpful with a positive attitude.

Great food and very delicious. Staff, very friendly, professional, and polite. Restaurant was very clean with a good atmosphere and great music. My only problem is that they served us too little as far as the amount of shrimp in the mofongo and the amount of carrucho (conch) for the price. Other than this, I will recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you!
