Love this place. We had the nicest waitress. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Gyros was very good. Restroom was nice and tidy. Great place to eat!
Lacking in atmosphere. Service was good, quiet and standoffish! Appetizers very good, entrees both of which the menu recommends lacked flavor, just alright. Will go back, to sample other menu items. Has potential, reasonably priced!
This was our first visit to Greektown Taverna. The food was delicious! We started with a sample plate. It had hummus, tzatzki sauce, and eggplant spread with tomatoes, cucumber and pita bread and stuffed grape leaves. The eggplant was the star of the plate!!! Tons of garlic in it. So so good! We tried the traditional gyro with fries and a side salad. The meat was thicker than usual and juicy and wonderful! We also ordered a Greek salad adding salmon and steak. The two extra proteins came on side plates and were cooked perfectly! Oh and we had the salmon blackened. Beware, the steak seemed to be a rib eye not a NY strip as it says on the menu. Service was great. The decor was nice. Only thing I wouldn't recommend was the baklava. The piece we got just seemed stale. Flavor was good. But it wasn't easy to get through the pastry layers. Also, they said they are only serving breakfast on Sunday now... But all day Sunday along with lunch.
So torn!!
Apps were SO great!! High hope for entrees... kabobs - the shrimp was perfect n delish. Beef was a horrendous cut. 1/3 edible (great flavor, bad cut). Greek salad perfect.
Service was a 10/10.
Drinks great.
Prices amazing for Naples.
Will try again for sure! Lamb shank next on the list! Would love to see more reviews as I'm 75/25.
