The Cuban Guy Cafe & Grill

We drove in from Gainesville for an appointment that was unremarkable when we decided to stop here and we ended up being so happy that we did. We were immediately treated like family. Not just a paying customer. The whole experience of treatment and quality of food helped turn the ling drive into a worthwhile trip. I'm from S. Florida and every bite I took helped me remember just how good traditional Cuban food is. Nothing compares to how well we were treated though. I'll be making the drive more often just to get out of Gville and to enjoy the spectacular food. Hands down the best dining experience I had in a VERY long time. I am truly grateful. Thank you

Owners are really awesome. They remember thier customers. Their food is authentic and price worthy. I left my phone and cane back 1/2 hour later and they had my phone safe. Must visit this place the food is great!!!

We've been looking for months for a true Cuban sandwich and have been very disappointed many times, until now...
This place is amazing!!! The sandwiches were reasonably priced and the most awesome Cuban sandwich we've ever had!! While this is not your traditional sit-down restaurant, the atmosphere was festive, the staff very friendly and knowledge and the food was to die for!! It's 74 miles round-trip and I'd gladly drive it just for a sandwich!!

OK, I could rave about this place forever. This is the real deal if you are looking for Cuban food. We tried this place as we were passing through headed towards South Carolina back in December. The owners are the best. Great service and wonderful conversation. Pick anything on the menu, you can't go wrong. The Pan con Bistec is the best I've ever had. Everything is made to order and hot. The pan con lechon is out of this world. We stopped by again this week and they even remembered us. Whenever we passed through Lake City, FL we will be stopping.

STOP! Just stop. If you don’t give this place 5 stars, you have never had great Cuban food. This place is THE BEST! Castro wishes he had Cuban food this good. He may have been a capitalist if he had eaten here. Sweet Tea needs a little work. Customer Service is better than any place in town. We will be back!
