Every time I go there I talk to someone that I didn't know before. Great place to make new friends and best"people watch"spot in the beach short of the beach itself. Something going on every night of the week. Open mic for musicians on Sunday, bring your own axe. Went there once and got hooked. Owner is there constantly and the staff is super nice. Loud inside but nice in the patio where you can carry a conversation and smoke. Go go go.”

“Definitely a big improvement on the old place that was farther south on A1A. This place is bigger, better lit, more modern, and the menu is new and improved with a lot of the old classics. Went on Friday night during March Madness, there were more kids than I expected in a beach bar at that hour but let's chalk that up to the sports on TV. The place was crowded so service was a little slower than I had come to expect, but overall a good experience. I would go back.”

The service is great and they give you so many little appetizers before you order, like free edamame and a fried sample roll. My girlfriend loves the creative plating from the sushi bar and always wants to bring friends here to show of the multi level displays for the rolls. It's not too bad on price either.”

“Good burgers, good value, a bit of a wait. Stopped in on a Saturday night. Place wasn't too busy. This is a counter order type place, although they brought the order to our table when it was ready. Ordered 2 burgers and a large fry. It was 30 minutes before the burgers arrived. The burgers were juicy, but a little bland (could use a little more seasoning). Toppings were good. Fries were good when hot. As they cooled down a bit they tasted like frozen fries from a bag. Service was good. Seemed like nice people. Overall, pretty underwhelmed. Really wanted to love this place. Food was filling and the prices are great. I'm sure we will try here again for a burger. Cant imagine stopping in for a quick lunch though or what the wait is like when they are busy.”

I’m giving four stars even though the cashier at the counter at 4:00pm today “had to go pee,) yes she actually said that while at the register and left with a long line...BUT it was free cone day, so I know she was super busy, but maybe her customer service etiquette can be better and the workers can get an organized break during “Free Cone Day.” The ice cream was delicious, but there was a foul odor in the restaurant so we choose to leave to eat our ice cream, and that’s why I’m giving the four stars. I understand and appreciate this super busy day, so I completely understand the negatives, but maybe make the customers pay for .25 cent cones and have more workers come in to accommodate everyone during the busy times(when the children are out of school.) Thank you Dairy Queen for the delicious soft serve ice cream! ????”

“Don't be fooled by the name there's nothing about the quality of food or the quality of service that considers this restaurant a shack. From the time you walk into the door and are greeted by the attentive staff to the time they put the fresh seafood in front of you you feel right at home at this location. The seafood is as fresh as a gets and prepared in a variety of ways to meet all your dietary needs. This is a casual laid back restaurant but again from the management to the servers to the greeters at the door they make you feel special from the time you walk in. Make sure you try the fried avocado chips outstanding don't miss this great spot!!”

“We made the mistake of going on Sunday around brunch time and we waited almost an hour for a table. We figured if everyone else was willing to wait that long, it must be good, and it was! It was hard to pick what we wanted because everything on the menu was tempting. The portions were very generous! “Seriously the BEST pizza in Jax! Most other pizza places have floppy greasy slices. Biggies has huge slices with a nice strong crust that doesn’t flop down and let the toppings slide off. Their thick crust pan type pepperoni pizza is absolutely the best! Hard to find in Jax beach but we’ll worth getting there for their pizza. I’m now officially hooked on Biggies for life. There will be no other pizza place for me. And if you order a whole pizza - you may need a truck bed to bring it home. They are huge! Incredibly good, amazing sauce and cheese perfectly cooked. Server encouraged me to get a buffalo chicken slice with ranch and it was so stinking good. Don’t waste your time at any other place. Biggies is where it’s at.”
