Steak 'n Shake

I doubt I ever go back to this Steak 'n Shake location (Regency Square Blvd. In Jacksonville, FL). The restaurant was really cold inside, and I like the cold so that's saying a lot. While our waitress was very nice, I had to ask for ranch dressing three times before I received any and I had to send my burger back because it was not made correctly. Then to top that off, I first told the waitress it would be separate checks, then when paying the cashier I gave her my coupons and told her they were for seat number 1 she said okay scanned them and gave me a total (lower than the original price) I paid handed her the coupon for the second order and she said "Oh, you wanted those orders separate?" And then told me she had already range up everything together and I'd already paid. She got her manager, she couldn't void the other transaction and redo them but did give me the difference of the coupon. Not a very good experience, so I'll stick to the location in Orange Park that I've never had a problem with.

The drive through line was really long, but I can see why. I always love a good after movie milkshake, however, we had a few issues with the order. My husband's drink was wrong. We were handed a clearly visible broken spoon for my milkshake. (It wasn't in the bag, passed from one hand to ours.) And they just threw the food in the bags. Our sandwiches either weren't wrapped properly or were unwrapped in the hasty bagging. I will go back through, because I love Steak n Shake. Hoping this was a one time issue!

This was I think the best visit ever. Of course the drive thru line looked like a train. So we opted to go inside for our to go order. I couldn't believe it ....we ordered, then made a restroom visit....2 minutes later ...not even enough time to sit down. Our order was READY ......hot, complete and accurate! Yum Yum????

Really good breakfast! I got the chocolate chip pancakes and they were really good. My whole family liked their food to.
We also come here a lot for lunch. They have some really good food. I would highly recommend that you stop by here for a meal.
