Singleton's Seafood Shack

Locals know to stop in here to enjoy fresh seafood. Last time I had the fried oysters and they were some of the best I've had. Quaint setting right on the water; nothing fancy. The food and friendly service carries it alone. ????????????????????????????

Great menu selection and service. Line is usually a shorter than the place up the road but just as good food. This has an outdoor space for great views and getting some sun.

Fried seafood platter is my pick. When my wife and I do the platter it will make 1 or two more meals. Go in your flip flops and shorts, it's that kind of beach casual. It's been there forever. Make sure and check out the hand crafted ship room. They also pour a great drink. ???????????? it's Florida fresh seafood in a very casual setting. Service has always been good.

I will say this, I called to see about a reservation for 9 people and was told they only take reservations for 20 or more yet when we arrived there was a reserved table for 10 next to the 7 top that we were offered. We embedded up in the ship room with plenty of room for all of us. In the end they worked it out and no harm no foul, they were truly being helpful but they could work on the reservations thing a bit more.

Just go for the fresh local seafood and the views of the river. It's a rustic, old Florida style seafood restaurant. There is a room of handmade wooden boats on display. Some of them are 3 or 4 feet long. Be sure to take some time to visit. Don't expect any thing fancy, just tasty seafood.

Friends took us there for dinner when we came to town and loved it. We ordered the platter for two and or friends laughed saying hope you're hungry. They weren't kidding. The platter was huge loaded with fried clams, shrimp, oysters, scallops, crab and fish not to mention our sides of fries and coleslaw. Service was terrific can't wait to go next time we're there.
