Awesome experience! Tasty authentic food, and friendly staff! Would recommend over and over again!
A very nice surprise!! I was not expecting to find authentic food in this place, however I was was very pleased with the flavor, freshness and quality of the food. I will.have to go back to try other dishes.
Attentive staff, food was plentiful and fresh with very good flavor. My bride was super pleased with her shredded pork. Would definitely return.
Food is great and authentic, for better or worse. Huge menu that can be hard to figure out. I enjoy ordering new things every time. Mostly they are great, I have had some gross stuff but I feel it's part of the experience. Service is always slow
Golden House is unique in Jacksonville because they focus on authentic Chinese food. You are not going to find the best general Tsao chicken or beef broccoli here. (shouldn't even come here if that's what you are looking for anyway) But this is by far the best authentic northern Chinese restaurant you can find in Jacksonville.
The owner and staff are very friendly. You are more than welcome to ask questions about different dishes, or ask for a little more or less salt in your dish. Be aware, even tho the prices are a bit high for Chinese food, the portions are very generous. If you order one dish per person, you'll most likely have enough left over for another full meal.
The restaurants actually test different Chinese recipes quite often, from smoked duck to fish three ways. Unfortunately they are not advertised anywhere, you have to ask the staff for them. It's kinda like a secret menu, but not intentional. Owner just assume most non-Chinese customers wouldn't care for unique dishes.
