Deerwood Diner

Philly was amazing and the staff was great. Beautiful aesthetic you don't see often

I had been meaning to try this place for over a month. Somehow, I just never got around to it until yesterday (01/25/2019). I have to say, I'm glad I finally made it. This is one of those cool little diners, modeled after the 1950's, that I just really enjoy. I had the Cuban Sandwich, which is one of my three favorites, the others being the Pholly Cheesesteak and the Reuben. My Cuban was excellent. I'll being going back to try the others, also. I'm sure they'll be great, too. I went here because everyone said the burgers are super, but it will be a while before I have a chance to try them. I'll update this as I try more items. I highly recommend this place.

My wife and I retired and moved here 7 months ago. We came upon this cool 50's diner by chance. Reading some of these reviews, I feel that some may be comparing this diner to the big corporate diners. We've never had a bad experience at the Deerwood Diner. The atmosphere is laid back and the food is is diner perfect.
We recently had lunch there on a Wednesday and Ally (our favorite server) and Mason were working the dining area together. Dynamic Duo. Mason greeted some of the guests by name and seemed to be doing a little bit of everything while Ally saw to the orders. These two working together was exceptional.
If you've not tried the Deerwood Diner, we recommend that you do. We also suggest having lunch there on a Wednesday when Ally and Mason are working. We know you'll be amazed by the service AND the great food.
We're not sure what Mason's position is, and we've asked ourselves a time or two... Why isn't Mason a server? Great guest service skills Ally & Mason!!!
