Clara's Tidbits Restaurant Mandarin

I used to go to the Tidbits over on Hendricks Avenue back when I worked off of Riverside, so I was happy to see that they now have a location on this side of town. This is a nice family owned establishment that has been a staple of Jacksonville for many years. They have a simple but good menu of various salads. soups and sandwiches.

My wife's favorite menu item is the chicken avocado pita. They give you a nice heaping scoop of chicken salad in a fresh pita with avocado and other veggies.

I prefer hot sandwiches, so I order the Tidbit's Reuben on Marble Rye, and it's always very good. They also have several side items such as coleslaw, pasta salad and potato salad. I personally recommend the potato salad. If you have a chance, you should also try the homemade cinnamon and sugar pita chips.

The staff of course is also very friendly.

I'll definitely be visiting this place for lunch a lot now that they are in the area!

Great service, and healthy food. They aren’t cheap with their portions and everything is delicious.
