I'll start with the good! The food was AH-MAH-ZING 😋! My husband had Chicken and Waffles with a side of eggs and I had shrimp and Grits! The atmosphere was everything with very nice decor😊.
The not so good... When we first arrived at 11:57am for our 12pm reservation, we were told they did not open for another 3 minutes and had to wait outside?? For what?? DONT HAVE 12 PM reservations available then. It was all of 3 minutes, but I digress... then, we find there's a cover charge for him, $10 👎🏾. Mind you, we were only there for brunch. THEN, everything on the menu was not available (oxtails, lobster, or French toast) 👎🏾. Our waitress was nice!
So since we paid, we did venture to the back... a whole other GOODT vibe 🤗. We got more drinks and hookah for an overall good experience😊! Our bartender was nice!
I loved everything about this place except the parking!!!! The city should have fixed that raggedy parking lot years ago ... 30+ years ago.
Anywho, the chicken and waffles are great and the shrimp and grits are good too!
The waitresses and other staff members are friendly, professional, and welcoming.
I went on a Saturday, and went right back ... three more times in less than three weeks.
This place isn’t bad at all. I’ve actually been to the location twice the very first time I went. One of my girlfriends told me they’re actually charging before the time that they stated on a flyer that’s being presented with their name. I didn’t have any cash. So I went back home that day. The next time was a pretty great time. The bartender was awesome. Me and a couple of girlfriends decided to go there to have a couple of drinks. Also, whoever makes the hookah. They did an amazing job. That was one of the best hookah I’ve had in a really long time. The last time I went. I had the oysters and wings during a happy hour special. The wings weren’t horrible. But they probably could’ve been cooked a little bit longer. The oysters were amazing. And our waitress was very sweet. Our food took about an hour and a half to come out. I would also like to say they need to upgrade whoever operates the social media for this establishment. I’m not sure why. But they are not very polite and welcoming when answering questions and concerns regarding something being posted on social media. I’ve asked a couple of questions on there and Two of the times they responded like they were irritated and another time they just straight out ignored my question. Maybe because they went ahead and posted whatever needed to be posted. But still communicating with people you want to support it seems logical to be polite. If that person who operates the social media page can’t comprehend how to be polite. Someone else needs to do it. Overall, I think this place has potential. They have done a good job with upgrading it. I’ve gone to it every time it’s been something other than elevation. And the food is Almost always on point. This is the first time the atmosphere matches what they’re trying to bring….
I do hope, whoever owns or manages this place now, takes these Google comments and consideration. Otherwise, it’s just gonna get closed down again after a couple of years. Best of luck.
Great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the kitchen was backed up about two hours. Charging $10 to get into the place with a combination of mediocre service equals a bad experience. We had to stop by Wing Stop across the street for food.
