Mandola's Italian Kitchen

Everytime I drive by this place I wanted to stop in. I finally made it in and my thoughts about this place are a little mixed over all the food was good and everything was fine, but once you get over the excitement of this place, it's kinda meh. Even though I was a fan of their dessert area, I didn't like that you had to pay separately for it. Overall the idea and decor are cool, but I'll have to try it again before I make a final verdict.

My new favorite place! Excellent food and I love the counter service. I was surprised when I went into the ladies room and there was an actual changing table with diapers and wipes provided.How thoughtful of them!

Food is always excellent, you really cannot go wrong with anything you choose. For first time visitors, it can be overwhelming but the staff is on hand for guidance. You order at the counter and then get your own utensils, napkins, small appetizer plates and the like over by the drink station. The staff only brings the food to your table. The to go boxes are also located by the drinks. The space is very open and you can see into the kitchen. It's very lively, just like the kitchen home! Very family friendly atmosphere. Don't forget to get gelato, even if it's to have later, it really is divine!

Pros:Bright, spacious restaurant. Fresh pasta, Service was excellent. Free bread and oil with your order. Nice set up to buy coffee, desserts and wine at other counters
Con: filter coffee and cappuccino were not the best. Needs more practice

Overall a great experience. We so needed an establishment of this caliber in Mandarin. They have a good lunch and dinner menu and even have happy hour. Food is a bit over priced for not being a sit down and order, it’s fast food style. The gelato and pastries were good. I enjoyed the eggplant parmigiana because it’s not fried. It’s baked and it was as delicious as the lasagna.
