I absolutely love Moxie! This location is distant for other places in the Jacksonville Town Center so it provides a peaceful dining experience outside and on their rooftop. The deviled eggs are to die for and I adore their crab cake appetizers. For main dishes my go to is meatloaf, chicken & waffles, or shrimp & grits. Definitely an ideal location for a date or intimate birthday dinner.
Great place to meet with a friend or a group of friends & have a glass of wine, & dinner. It's really cozy, great staff & enjoyable the only issue I have is they need to do a better job with the food, especially for the price. I can get food at a bar & grill or wherever that tastes better at 1/2 or even 1/3 the cost. So please work on better food options, especially vegetarian ones. Everything else is great.
Enjoyed my first meal at Moxie and I'll definitely be back.
I came for brunch. I had a delicious Bloody Mary but beware. At most restaurants I have to request it extra hot. But this Bloody Mary was almost too hot for me. a spicy mix, made with smoked, pepper vodka. wow quite a kick and tasty! my friend and I split donuts and the deviled eggs for starters. the donuts were covered in all my favorites. chocolate mousse, espresso other tasty sweets. the deviled eggs were all different, all delicious. I then had the pimento cheese omelette with kale salad. everything was perfect. mixing flavors and textures that made every bite more enjoyable than the last.
I look forward to coming again for dinner sometime soon.
My daughter and I visited Moxie for brunch. We were seated upstairs, outside. I really liked the decor, seating and the screened patio. Our waiter was great! Very tentative. We shared a delicious donut, for starters. It was fresh and sweet and delicious. I ordered the pimento cheese omelet. It just wasn't my favorite. The cheese was very runny and the sauce was a little too sweet for me. It wasn't terrible, but it just didn't "wow" me. The fried chicken biscuit, my daughter ordered was impressive looking. The chicken portion was quite large. 5 stars for the great service and atmosphere, less 1 star for the limited menu and The entree that was a little less than fantastic. Overall, I was happy and will visit again. The table next to us ordered a burger. I think I'll try that, next time.
