Amazing food. Amazing service. Great hospitality. You come in and order your food from the kiosk, pick a number, then you meet your server. This place was so good and I'm in the love with the cantaloupe drink. It was so refreshing. The next time we're in Jax we will definitely eat here again 👌🏾
While pricey for a kiosk order location and not truly full service, the price to pay is worth it for the really super delicious food. Everything is always fresh tasting and the variety of Filipino dishes that I haven’t seen elsewhere is impressive. I love that most dishes come with lots of vegetables and not just a sauce meat and rice like many Asian takeout places.
Very friendly staff. I love coming here.
I visited Purple Roots for the first time last week and have now been 3 times, bringing different coworkers and friends with me each time. I enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and good location. I think the food here is very flavorful, beautiful to look at, and fun to share. There are so many cool things I've tried (and am still tempted to try!) on the menu, like the sizzling sisig. I was treated like family every visit (by the owner's actual family!) and they've provided me attentive and super friendly service. They had a few technology hiccups with their menu order kiosks, but they rolled with it no problem and adapted quickly to still make a memorable first impression. You can feel the love for the Philippines at Purple Roots, which is why I've enjoyed going back.
First Filipino restaurant that I've been to in Jacksonville. You have do a self order at the kiosk and the ambience of the restaurant is really good, Well maintained, super clean.
The pork belly was my favourite it was just so juicy and you get rice with pretty much most of your meals.
The portion size isn't that great for the amount of price you pay but I believe ordering some gravy based dish is good to have with you food.
They only serve 2 bao's for 10$ and I don't think it's worth the price
Highly recommended for a Filipino restaurant.
.
I was a little skeptical to try this place, because I haven’t heard many good things about Filipino cuisine. Let me tell you their food was well seasoned and so good. I would go there on a regular. Please try their cuisine. The drinks are very natural does not taste sweet. Taste very natural and refreshing.
