Shut Em Down Authentic Southern Restaurant

Excellent! Food & service were great! Only reason I didn't give atmosphere a 5 ✨ rating is because I had a carry out order. Ordered 2 fried chicken dinners, white & dark meat. Chicken was cooked just right and juicy. Sides ordered were potato salad, greens, baked beans, & Mac & cheese. Every item was delicious. Corn bread was moist and also delicious. Will definitely be returning save recommend everyone to check this restaurant out!

We stopped at Potters house first, and as usual, the line was out the door. So we left and went to Shut em down
It was my first visit. Very enjoyable. The staff was friendly, efficient, and engaging. My husband ordered the meatloaf. I had the smothered pork chops.They didn't have enough for a dinner portion of the meatloaf,so the chef came out,spoke to my husband, and offered a substitute. The restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. The food was well prepared and well seasoned. I will be going back .

Tried for the first time today and it was so good! I got curry chicken, collards and mac & cheese, and banana pudding for dessert. Everything was good, and the banana pudding is definitely one of the top three I’ve ever had, and I don’t play about banana pudding. Everything was fresh, good size helpings, and the young man at the counter was very helpful, friendly and polite. Will definitely be back.

The food is great and the place is super clean. They are just off Casset and I-10. Best soul food joint on Westside. Green beans and Fried Chicken wings (fried hard) is the best.

We were looking for somewhere new to eat in the neighborhood and we came across this place saw they had a lot of really good reviews and decided to check it out. Comfort food southern food soul food call it what you will it was hands-down awesome and lived up to all the hype. We got the fried pork chop platter over mashed potatoes are sides were collard greens and mac and cheese and a piece of cornbread no disappointments everything was awesome we'll be back.
