Definitely upscale and well organized. Affordable and delicious meals. The corn bread, Mac & cheese, BBQ beans, gravy, and rice, were out of this world. The BBQ chicken and pork chops not so much. Table service was lacking, though it was 2 hours to closing, might had something to do with it.

This place is AMAZING! The best ox tails that I've ever had. REAL mac and cheese like grandma used to make and the greens are actually seasoned well. Don't forget to grab a desert, I recommend either the coconut cream pie or red velvet cake. You can't go wrong here, everything on the menu is great.

The place is awesome. My family and I love the food, customer service, and the new location. This is one of our favorite soul food restaurants in Jacksonville, Florida. We travel an hour and a half monthly to eat here. Now we bring to go orders such as smothered pork chops, yellow rice, ox tails, candy yams, cabbage, baked beans, red velvet, bread pudding, pound cake, mac and cheese back home ( to Gainesville, Florida ) to family and friends. Everybody enjoys the food..????????

I walked into the restaurant and they had closed. Me having no idea of the fact, proceeded to the buffet line and began to order. William was so very polite and calmly stated "we're closed ma'am " I'm clearly not listening as I see the food still on line. He proceeds to say "I'm going to bless you with some food". William went above and beyond the customer satisfaction because I eat here at least 2-3 times weekly.

My family and I tried the Potter's House Sunday for the first time and absolutely loved it. The wait was long but worth it. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Definitely taste like they was cooking for their own family which was very flavorful and rich, especially the red velvet cake. We would likely to return and recommend this restaurant to anyone.
