Flora-Bama Ole River Grill

This place was great! Great drinks and great food. Our server Ralph took great care of us and was always there if we needed anything. I HIGHLY recommend the shrimp and grits and the key lime shrimp. I will point out though that we went during off-peak hours (~3pm) to avoid crowds given our large party size. Also their online menu is incomplete and a few things that show up on the oyster bar menu are on the Ole River Grill menu.

First of all we were sat immediately, which was great. When our food arrived the server initially checked on us and then never returned.. We ask a different server for refills. The pasta was good but my wife said the fish and shrimp tacos were not good, too sweet. Nice atmosphere though.

The food and atmosphere were great. We ordered the crab claws as an appetizer and were told they had run out due to the previous weekend being very busy ( mullet toss). We didn’t complain we knew it had been very busy.
Suddenly a basket of crab claws appeared on our table!! BB did an amazing job taking care of us, she always are back to check on us. Highly recommend.

We came in to eat tonight and had the pleasure of meeting Sydney. He was the best server I have ever had! Not only was he an angel sent from the food gods but it’s like he knew what I liked and didn’t like. We started off with Tuna Dip recommended by Sydney. I got the Grilled Mahi, also recommended by Sydney..it amazing! And ended the night with Cotton Candy cheesecake for the kids. This will be my favorite place to eat from my home away from home. Great place to eat. So nice to either sit in the warm sun or cool shade. Watching boats and kida play in the sand. Ralph, our Server, was attentive and good. The fish sandwiches and chicken strips were so good. We will be back. We live 29 miles away but felt like we were on vacation.
