Kalbi Ichiban

So much variety of delicious Japanese and Korean cuisines!. Very delicious and beautiful place. Menu is very nice. Our server Avery was very kind and attentive. Will definitely ask for her and next time I dine I will try the Korean style where I cook it myself!.

Go for the sushi a huge selection, Smoked tuna dip also outstanding and the sweet and sour soup the best in town. The atmosphere is upper scale with beautiful stone and granite throughout the restaurant and high booths for privacy with a mixture of low lighting. The two bars have comfortable leather seats and you can watch your fresh sushi being made in front of you. Good value for your money as well not small rolls. The staff are pleasant and the owner and his wife are always there to oversee their restaurant. If you liked Shark Fin follow them here, if you like Ichiban another alternative downtown.

Here's the story...the food and service were great, drinks good. I received a gift card for my birthday from Ichiban on Davis highway. The gift card says Shark Fin on it but in sharpie marker has printed Ichiban on it. Just so you know Shark Fin and Ichiban are owned by the same people. When I was gifted this card, I was told it also worked at Kalbi Ichiban. Also owned by the people. Tonight my husband and I ventured out to try Kalbi Ichiban, I called before hand and wanted to check if indeed this gift card world work. I was told yes.We had a great experience. Handed over the gift card plus our credit card because we spent double the amount on the gift card. I was then told they wouldn't take that our giftcard. I was not happy and they said they were sorry but they would make it up in giving us a gift card for $5.00. they gave us a gift card for $5. On a bill the was close to $100.00.

Great experience. Large meals. Service was great and on point. Even the menus were noticeably nice. Bathroom was very clean. I ordered the Chef's Sushi plate. After eating that, I didn't feel the need to order anything else. I was full, happy, I had a variety. Would definitely eat here again.

Loved the food! It was a little bit of a wait once
we placed our order but it was perfectly fine, our waitress kept us informed and kept checking on us. Portion sizes are large we were so full we both took half our roll home. The taste and freshness was amazing! I can’t wait to go back when I am back in the area! You have to try this place you won’t be disappointed!
