Very interesting place. Nice informative tour. My roast beef sandwich was not all that good. But this was a really neat experience
A neat place built by an interestingly eccentric gent. An eclectric collection is various items in the house. And a very nice collection of antique cars in an outbuilding. A word of warning - this place is it there a way, not near a convenience store or has station. A nice little restaurant with good food, in a nice area to take a break.
Open 10am to 4 pm daily except Monday they are closed.
Get there by 3:30, you can still eat and tour the castle. CASH ONLY. They do have an ATM.
We took many photos of the outside and didn't go inside for the tour.
No photography allowed inside the castle.
We ate on the boat restaurant which is pretty cool.
Very good food at a fair price.
Seating for 50 inside the boat. Seating outside and seating inside the Lighthouse during the winter months and for special occasions.
A nice gift shop with many items!
Really a neat place!
The boat in the moat restaurant is worth the trip alone. Tasty home made food in a unique atmosphere.
The tour of the castle was an interesting show of creative artwork done by Solomon. I was disappointed that the tour only showed a small portion of the castle, I would have liked to have seen more
The amazing thing to me was that everything, the castle, the boat the art was all built by Solomon acting alone. Thats energy
An oddity in Florida, completely hand-built by Solomon. The Boat in the Moat was pretty good for lunch and totally different. The tour of the castle was quite unique and informative. We actually met Solomon when we were at the boat in the moat and he was very friendly and personable. I highly recommend seeing this castle for a nice Florida scenic drive and something to do.
