Johnson Barbeque

Ok let me start by saying this is the first time I've ever given a 5 star rating, but it was worth it!
I had The Pig Mac
chopped pork, smoked sausage, coleslaw, fried green tomatoes, pickles, and BBQ sauce 9.94
I had the fried green tomatoes,coleslaw and pickles on the side. I also got collard greens and okra, I ate half and had the other another time. But it was absolutely the best sandwich! Everything was GREAT!!!!

Everything was Great but the meat. And it being being a smokehouse that’s super important,. My lean brisket was very dry and my husbands meal had the same issue with his meat. Awesome dessert! I would go here again since everything else was good but in hopes the meat will be better next time.

I love Grandpa Johnson's! Ribs are so perfect, you don't even need sauce...but the sauce is delightfully sweet with some black pepper heat...excellent! Had their catfish and wings for the first time today, and I definitely will be ordering them again. The catfish was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The brisket is kind of hit or miss. Some days it is wonderful, sometimes it is a little dry. Today it was dry. This is my favorite place to eat in Plant City.

Awesome place...didn't think Florida had any good BBQ, (tired of sonny's chain) but they do!!! This is the real deal even have collard greens with pepper sauce. Okra was cook to perfection, while brisket was not lean it was also not full of fatty chunks. Grits were very good as well as mac n cheese. Even took some peach cobbler home....yummy! I will go here again and encourage you too as well!!

This is one of the best bbq spots in the state of Florida. Nothing speaks good meats other than knowing it’s smoked, prepared, and cut on sight. The sides are absolutely to die for as well. All the staff is super helpful and super nice. I have driven admittedly far to eat here! The pulled pork and sliced brisket is especially good, also paired with the mac and cheese.
