Cannot give this place 5 stars because Hungry Harry’s (Land O’ Lakes, Fl) is the only 5 star BBQ joint I know BUT this place is great!!
Friendly and fast service, BBQ fresh and tastes great as well! Great for a quick lunch with a few coworkers or a weekend lunch/early dinner spot!

I would drive across Florida to have the BBQ here. It is fantastic. Always tastes wonderful. Very consistent flavor. When i go there i buy slabs of ribs and carry them home. I live 50 miles from there.

Are you looking for real BBQ you've reached the right location here at first choice BBQ been coming here for the last four or five years you just can't beat it I travel all over the South and I have yet to find any BBQ to match first choice BBQ in my opinion nobody even comes close. These guys work hard for you in that hot prep area behind the price of glass serving you the best BBQ in town. Guys keep up the good work look forward to seeing you again Saturday this is definitely my Saturday lunch spot and any other day that I can fit it in.

The ribs were good, but I didn't realize the sides cost extra. The guys were nice, but I wish they wood have asked me if I wanted to buy some sides instead if just asking me what sides I wanted, without informing me that it would be an extra 2 dollars for every side. I got 2 sides. The baked beans were very cinnamony and sweet. The potato salad was very sweet, but my wife tells me some people like it like that. I wish they remembered to tell people that if you buy ribs that the sides cost extra.

I have been going to First Choice since they opened in the way back (1992). In my not so humble opinion, they are still the best Southern BBQ joint in the Brandon area. We have had them cater lunches at my company, bought slabs of ribs to take home, been there for lunch and dinner. Great smoked meats, scrumptious sides (greens, spicy Mac salad, hand cut fries, real iced tea, I could go on and on). This is what BBQ is all about. Don’t expect nice table linens, metal utensils, or a quiet atmosphere. The chop, chop goes on and on. My plate is always clean when I leave. The owner is a great guy and always greets me like we were old friends. The best.
