Rooster & the Till

Each dish was as truly excellent as the last. While earlier trips where more memorable for creativity than flavor, this visit was a perfect match of the two. Excellent.

The food is exceptional. The small plates are expensive but exquisite. The service was impeccable and Peter really knows his wines. Informal setting with food you would expect at a fine dining establishment in New York! Thank you for the gastronomical experience!

We had 4 dishes and my husband had a mixed drink...93$ included tip. It was as I explained to my husband a “foodie” and it is. You open your mind and palette. We sat at the bar where the cooks work and it was truly a delight to see the artistic plates being prepared. When we return we will splurge and try to chef’s tasting.

Was fortunate to snag a last minute reservation. Glad we were so lucky. Fun place and great food. Ian our waiter was great and knew the menu inside and out. We went with the menu instead of the chef tasting menu. Will try that the next time. Highly recommend. Wish it was located in Chicago.

Rooster & the Till is incredible and it’s no surprise it was named the best restaurant in the area by the Tampa Bay Times this past year. The attention to detail the entire staff has is on a whole other level. Sitting at the bar, overlooking the kitchen, is an enlightening experience: you can see the choreography and thoughtfulness of the entire system at work and the zen-like focus and genius of the cooks.

And, of course, the food is incredible. The portions are mostly a shareable size, and any time I come here I order to share. Be adventurous and try new things; you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
