Mole y Abuela

I just had one of the most wonderful dining experiences ever and Id love to share with you all. I visit this new restaurant in downtown Tampa called Mole Y Abuela. Mole y Abuela is a tapas Spanish-Mediterranean restaurant that brings you delicious flavors, unique combinations and an ambiance that brings Tampa's multicultural residents together.

Where do I begin, I ordered so many things because everything looked, sounded great and tasted even better than what my imagination could have thought of.
The Bacon wrapped Dates is an absolute must to start with, as well as the 3 cheese plate, I highly enjoyed the shrimp & meatballs. The house salad was so delicious, the dressing was a sweet & tangy sauce that brought it all together perfectly.

As I took a few minutes to digest, I looked around and notice the ambiance was perfect. So many different cultures of people together enjoying these flavors, new drinks, our host were wonderful and very attentive.

Next order was the lamb shank and lamb chops, WOW! The meat just slid off the bone from lamb shank and with each bite the flavors & meat would melt on your tongue. My absolute favorite had to be the snapper! There were sweet flavors that reminded me of the Caribbean beachs in Costa Rica, followed by the hidden spices that make you think of the Mediterranean. The fish was cooked to absolutely perfection, it was flaky, light & crispy and the meat easily pulled off the bones.

Mole y Abuela will sure to establish itself as one of the best restaurants in Tampa. I recommend this location to everyone.

The restaurant is located in beautiful downtown Tampa. The space is very nicely decorated and has great ambience. They have done an awesome job at pairing the foods. They have an amazing menu with different spanish dishes that taste delicious. The staff is super friendly and highly attentive. While you’re in there, make sure you check out the rooftop and get yourself a couple of their delicious craft cocktails!

Outstanding service and amazing food. Lidi was our server and very attentive. Knew the menu very well and gave great recommendations. Brandan, the manager, greeted us at the end of our meal. And asked for feedback. Great restaurant with fantastic staff!! Upstairs bar had modern, relaxed and great atmosphere. Bartenders very friendly and drinks were yummy. :-)

Excellent food and even better service. We were a few minutes late and lost our reservation and had to sit in the bar, but Brandon the manager more than made up for it. Our server Sydney was incredible and provided great recommendations. Definitely save room for dessert.

Went in with high expectations since it’s the same owners from Osteria which is amazing and I can honestly say they far exceeded those expectations. This place is amazing. The food is beyond excellent, the service is the best I've ever had, servers are knowledgeable, they’ll happily answer any question you have. We tried 4 or 5 plates off the menu and they were all beyond delicious, make sure you try the octopus and the lamb chops.
