The Continental

We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I noted it when I made the reservation and again when we confirmed. Food and atmosphere were great. Our waiter, Greg, made no mention of my wife’s birthday...ended the meal with the check. Very disappointing end to an otherwise great night.

A colleague and I went for dinner after arriving at the hotel from a day of traveling and really just wanted a beverage and some good food. The food was good but the service was somewhat lacking (we did not sit at the bar). It took about 10-15 mins to pour another glass of wine and another draft beer - we were 2 of only a handful of people in there at the time. ?

The food was ok, but definitely not 5 stars. I had the fried cauliflower for dinner and it was definitely overcooked. Good flavor, but the breading was so firm that I had to struggle to put a fork through it. For breakfast, it was surprising to see "pickled sweet peppers" in my omelette when I asked for "peppers". Not wrong, just not a typical breakfast pepper. Service was fine, and prices were good, both of which keep it just above 3-stars.

Thanks for doing such an outstanding job to make the stay so pleasurable. The burgers tastes so amazing.
