Yum! Plus after only one visit they remembered us. Very nice family type place. Crust is very good!

Saw an article in the local paper about them and had them added to my google maps as a place to try. Finally in the area so I stopped by. The place is on the corner if a small shopping center in downtown Vero Beach. Service was excellent. I ordered a chicken cutlet sub and a 1/2 dozen garlic rolls. Unfortunately the use the same chicken cutlet to make their chicken parmigiana. In the parmigiana, the sauce adds flavor to the meal. Unfortunately, the same cutlet in my sandwich was quite bland. They gave me an extra garlic knot for the small delay I endured. The texture of the knots was inconsistent. Some of them were fluffy and crispy on the outside while some weren't properly cooked on the inside. Sadly, there was much more oil than garlic for the knots. I may go back and try the pizza hoping to be able to salvage things, but otherwise, I wasn't impressed with the food.

Ordering take-out Italian earlier this week reminded me to leave a review. The Lewis family has eaten at the Italian Kitchen dozens of times since moving to Vero Beach a few years ago.

Our family favorite is the "Combo Special," which includes lasagna, ravioli, ziti, stuffed shells, and meatball with homemade tomato sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. My kids are traditional when it comes to pizza - they simply order a cheese pie. I prefer the "Chef's Special," which includes pepperoni, sausage, onion, meatball, bacon, olives, mushrooms, peppers, and garlic.

Service is always friendly and polite - we've never had a problem or issue. Even on take-out orders.

Located on 14th Avenue in downtown Vero Beach, parking is tight at the Italian Kitchen. If possible, take advantage of street parking.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. We were skeptical, but decided to give it a try. On a whim, we stopped on our way home and ordered a pizza to take with us. While waiting, we watched the owners (I assume they were the owners) making pizza. Every pie is hand tossed at the time of the order. They’re truly artists. Every step is carefully executed. When adding the toppings, they make sure you’ll get some in every bite.

Needless to say, we were impressed. When we got the pizza home and tried it, it was cooked to perfection. Crunchy thin crust. Just the right amount of sauce, cheese and pepperoni.

This RI girl has found a great Italian restaurant in Florida.....who knew. ????????
