Our first trip to Prime House was a wonderful surprise. So many of these Big Steakhouse wanna B's fall short. But NOT Prime House!! The Calamari was lightly breaded and delicious and the Chop Salad was great especially the dressing. Bread was hot and butter had no freezer burn as so many do. I ordered the Ribeye was cooked med-rare, Pittsburgh and was cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the Seafood Pasta and was very pleased. The German Potatoes are to die for and the creamed spinach was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. We'll Done PH. We will be back often.
Beautiful restaurant with awesome service. Order the porterhouse for two. It's outstanding. We had salads, German potatoes, creamed spinach, and asparagus. All were great. Best steak I've had in Fort Myers. Right up there with Ruth's Chris.
Absolute 10 star experience from the greeting to the dessert. Thank you Sam and everyone at Prime House for an awesome dinner for the family. We brought 7 people in and it was amazing. The owner of the establishment trained for many years at Peter Luger's in NY and is an experienced and professional when it comes to serving the best steak and seafood. We LOVED everything. ORDER THE CAESAR Salad! The Lobster Bisque- WOW, The new steak and seafood special is simply the best value in SW Florida. For $49 for PRIME STEAK AND either scallops or lobster tail with soup or salad and a dessert. We will be telling our friends about it and coming back soon! There is not a better prime steak in town! THANK YOU! P.S. The creamed spinach, mushrooms and asparagus all amazing too!
Let me start out this review with a couple of clarifying notes: 1) My wife and I consider ourselves "foodies" and oenophiles, and more than anything want this place to succeed. We stopped in last night (sat at the bar) for just a couple of appetizers and drinks. First impressions were good overall with staff and ambiance. I will start off with the "good", and then follow-up with constructive suggestions for improvement; The Good: 1) Boom/boom shrimp was very good; nicely spiced with a slight "bite", lightly breaded, with a flavorful sauce drizzle. 2) Staff friendly and attentive; 3) Tuna tartar was also "good" (my wife liked it better than me); it was "seasoned" and slightly spicy, fresh, and nicely plated; I didn't care for the sliced scallions (too strong), and needed more avocado to balance out the other strong flavors. Again, not my favorite, but my wife would order again; Now, suggestions for improvement: 1) I ordered draft Stella, which I expected to be in $5-6 range, but it was $7, which I would be "ok" with if pour is a standard pint as opposed to a 10-12 oz small beer mug, 2) menu is small and simple (which is fine); but menu items had no descriptions requiring you to probe on what exactly items consist of, 3) menu is ala cart, and sides (larger), can not be ordered in 1/2 orders, which seemed to be an easy thing to offer but we were told not an option, 4) Overall prices are very high given ala cart, 5) house wine is "Sycamore Lane" (which is $5-$6 a bottle retail and basically undrinkable, selling for $8/glass), for an upper end steak house, this is unacceptable; 6) presently no HH is available, we were told it's coming, so TBD.
Looking forward to a new option in the area.
