First and most importantly the food here is amazing! A true taste bud prize. We had the Buffalo chicken dip and a super meat boy pizza slice. You will not be disappointed!

The Spot has the best comfort food. Luckily for us, they also have all of the sports channels. I took my dad and brother here to watch the Mets game that was only on in NY and we had the best sandwiches. The chicken bacon ranch was legit and my brother had the Kitchen Sink. You gotta see this thing. We topped it off with fried Oreos. Everything we had was excellent. On top of the great food, the best part is the service we received from the staff. Very attentive to us the entire time. I’d definitely recommend The Spot whenever you’re craving something hearty and if you are a sports or trivia fan (they have trivia nights and drink specials all the time).

Me and my wife have eaten most spots on cape parkway and some places fall short when it comes to service and flavor of food! This place has honestly blown both our minds (you ever seen ratatouille when the critique eats the food he made and it blew his mind well we both had that moment today) all I can say is come and try it for yourself and get your own idea but I will say that we’re bringing our family and friends here due to how good not only the service is but the food as well definitely will be coming back.

I (JD) loved this place. It was my first time here and I was not disappointed. My wife & I started out with the mac & cheese bites. Nothing fancy, but boy are they tasty! My wife also had a cocktail called Ladies Night and it was super delicious. There was alcohol, but it was blended so perfectly that it was smooth and fruity. Really a solid cocktail.

For dinner, we split the hot honey chicken sandwich. I’m not a buffalo/sriracha fan. But this was an amazing sandwich. The flavors were balanced with the right amount of heat & sweet. The fries were great. Nice & crispy with good flavor. The owner brought me out a side of their raspberry sweet Thai chili sauce, made in house. I love sauces and I really love sweet Thai chili sauce. It was amazing! The added raspberry gave it even more depth of flavor. I definitely want to try it on their wings.

We each got a slice of pizza. I had the Hogwarts. Carolina sweet bbq sauce, slaw, chicken, cheese, all on a delightfully crispy thin crust. It was so good! My wife had the Fresh Prince, which is a classic Philly in pizza form. The pizza was as good as any Philly I’ve had. Like, perfectly good. It was the right amount of cheese, peppers, onions, & steak. The prime rib they used was absolute money.

Dessert was the only place The Spot didn’t shine for me. We got the deep friend Entenmann’s chocolate donuts. It’s a full-sized donut, dipped in pancake batter, deep fried, & drizzled with chocolate syrup & powdered sugar. I wanted these to be amazing (I also wanted them to be mini donuts) They were not. I thought there was too much batter on them. The donut got lost in all of it. It was also really greasy. There was a pool of grease in the basket. The batter was cooked through, but some of it was soggy because of all the grease. I really wanted to love them, but I didn’t. I don’t know that I would order them again. Not unless they change some things.

Overall, this is a great place! The prices are reasonable for the portions. The service was awesome. The owner came out and chatted with us for a while. He was really friendly and hospitable. The Spot has a really chill vibe with amazing food. I’m excited to have this place around and look forward to trying more things on the menu.

I (JH) have visited The Spot twice now and both visits have been impressive. On my first visit, we got the Breakfast Fries which were terrific! I also ordered the hot honey chicken and while the flavor was great, the sandwich itself was a little small for my liking.

My wife ordered the Super Meat Boy pizza which was delicious. Great crust, ideal sauce-to-meat-to-cheese ratios…just about perfect.

I went big & ordered the Preice23 sandwich. Mozzarella sticks, chicken strips, 2 cheeseburger patties and Mac & cheese all shoved into a hoagie roll. It was messy, hard to eat, embarrassing, and most of all, delicious! I loved it even if I couldn’t finish it. At $15 you more than get your money’s worth with this behemoth. Each ingredient stood on their own and yet blended together perfectly.

We ordered the fried Oreos for dessert. While they weren’t greasy like JD’s donuts, they were pretty standard in terms of fried Oreos…which is still great. Though I will say the first time I went we got the donuts and they were cooked perfectly so maybe this most recent trip they were just a little off.

Despite forgetting one item that we ordered the service was fast, attentive and friendly. In the end, them forgetting our other item worked out because there was no way on Earth we could have eaten another thing!

Parking is limited & challenging if you go when it’s busy, but with a decent amount of indoor seating and a number of outdoor tables, as well with great food, cocktails and service, the minor parking inconvenience is one I’m more than willing to put up with.

I really wanted to like this place and to look forward to returning. However that’s not going to happen. Positive things first.

We were greeted with smiles and enthusiasm by the staff as we walked in. The design of the place was cool and it was fresh, clean and new. Decided to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Opened with the “Pickle” pizza and loved it! Unique flavors and great texture. Our sandwiches were above average taste and presentation was nice. Fries were great, had a nice crisp. Pizza we would come back for.

The little things matter when your spending money. First there were no paper towels in the restroom after washing our hands. Had to go to the other one 🤷🏻‍♂️ Our first outdoor table was broken so we decided to move to another. No biggie except the rest of the tables were dirty and we had to ask for one to be wiped down. The music that was piped in made for a great vibe but the ground/floor was covered with leaves and street debris 🤦🏻‍♂️ The dining area lacked ambiance, nothing on the table and no décor. Some lighting or a plant or two would help. The place wasn’t super busy so cleaning and paper towels should have been easy.

Our appreciation of the food and service was evident by our empty plates and tip. Again We really wanted to want to come back. The part of our experience that was most negative was returning to our car parked in the lot directly behind the rear entrance after sunset . . . Zero lighting! Wouldn’t want my wife or daughter returning to that lot alone in the dark.

A few inexpensive adjustments will make The Spot stand out.
