Mitchell's Bar-B-Q

Hurricane Ian did quite the number on our area. More and more restaurants are getting back into the swing of things. Regular haunts aren’t all open so that makes a person look for new ones. And I found a new delightfully delicious new Bar-B-Q place! Mitchell’s!

It’s located on Winkler Just off College Pkwy. Now when I say Winkler this is the Winkler just over the South Cape Coral Bridge, on your left before you get to Summerlin.

The restaurant is very neat and cleaned up outside. Nicely painted and the color scheme really fits the Bar-B-Q style. Walking into the restaurant you can’t help but to notice how clean and well maintained the restaurant is inside. The bar is very well kept and very inviting. Nice open concept. I imagine I’ll be giving it a go here in the near future. The restrooms were clean and well maintained as well. The booths are aged, but not uncomfortable. The tables are nice and we sat down to a nice clean seat and table.

I ordered a few different items including the salad bar. Yes! I said salad bar! I was so pleased to find a restaurant that still has a salad bar. People have differing opinions on salad bars. Personally I like them. This salad bar was very clean and the items were very fresh!

I also ordered the Bar-B-Q chicken and St. Louis style ribs. The glaze on the chicken was very nice well seasoned and tasty. The chicken was good and tender. Light smoke taste in the meat, not overly smoky and not just plain chicken flavor. The ribs were very good! Very tender with a nice smoked flavor. My son ordered the pulled pork. Personally I’m not a pulled pork guy. But his was good. Nice flavor and the meat was tender. The garlic bread was, believe it or not, impressive. Nice crisp outside and fluffy soft interior. Not overly garlicky. I really enjoyed the barbecue sauce especially the kickin one. We tried the Key lime pie and Peach Cobbler for dessert. Both were moderately good. All in all we were very happy with our meal and time spent here.

Our server Katie was such a nice and pleasant waitress. Very hospitable and polite. Very attentive without being overly attentive. She’s a gem!

If your looking for some real good Bar-B-Q and a nice relaxing meal with some soft country music playing in the background. You have to give Mitchell’s a try. If you do, it won’t be your last.

Tonight we went to have dinner at Sonny's and found out it is under new ownership, Mitchell's Bar BQ. My wife and I were tempted to get in the car and go to another place to eat, but figure what the hell, let's give a new place a chances. Of course we were expecting Sonny's but was soon to find out this place was different. New menu, open salad bar (which I did miss from Sonny's) and new items from starters to main dish. We started with the crispy fried cheese, very yummy. My wife had pulled pork with collard greens and I must say I'm not a big fan of greens but these were very tasty and good. I had what's called " Two pigs and a moo". Pulled pork good and thick with sauce, smoked ribs, bare. And last but not least slices of beef Round of eye. Very tender and seasoned perfectly. Topped off with cornbread, coleslaw, and baked beans. Over all a good meal. Fast and very friendly service. Clean and well managed. I say give this new joint a shot, it might just become your favorite Bar BQ joint.

Went to Mitchell’s Bar B Q for 4th of July BBQ with my family. Service and atmosphere were great. Food was excellent. Best BBQ I’ve had in Fort Myers in years! The ribs were beefy and tender, fell right off the bone! Their white cheddar Mac and chz was so unique and delicious. The Prime Burger was outstanding! So much food, the leftovers were enough for another meal! Definitely will be back.

Food was very yummy. I was soooo excited to see a salad bar. Husband got AYCE Pulled pork. Was very good. Great service and food

Lunch was awesome! Toni, our server was very efficient, funny and friendly. The turkey BBQ sandwich was moist and tasty, I really enjoyed it. My friend tried the
"3-little pigs" ribs, pork and sliced beef. He said it was delicious and had to take ½ home there was so much. We really enjoyed ourselves! Toni, thank you for the fast friendly service! We missed Addison today, she had a day off. Always great service from Addison! Mr. Mitchell made the rounds, it's nice to see someone that cares about their business checking on their guests! Thanks again everyone!
