“The old Buddha is DEAD. Thankfully, it's been reincarnated into a much improved venue — Buddha LIVE. I stopped in last night after hearing that the bar was under new management and it is obvious that the new owner(s) have been hard at work cleaning the place up. The old ever-present smell of stale beer and cigarette smoke is almost completely gone, the stage has gotten a facelift, new games have been added to the back rooms, fresh faces are serving up drinks behind the bar, and the whole building is the cleanest I've ever seen it. So far the place appears to be maintaining its dark and divey rocker vibe, but without the literal grunge. Buddha has come a long way from the last time I was here, and from what I heard last night they're just getting started with what they have planned. Very excited to see this venue evolve into something bigger & better.”

Great service..but what stuck out most for me was this...i must say being a Romanian , my grandmother and others in the family tried for many years to get me to try "tripe" soup (ciorba de burta). I couldnt ever stand it, i would stay out of the house for hours when it was made in our household, but i tried Chris's (owners) and i can safely say that i liked his. Remember if i cant stand the stuff and actually ate a bowl it must be good. The homemade bread and Zacusca (eggplant spread) i also noticed people were enjoying. One lady who walked in while i was there tried a piece of sarmale (stuffed cabbage) and ended up ordering some to go so i guess she loved what she found. Best of all the owner will make sure you leave well fed and taken care of. POFTA BUNA”

I definitely recommend getting a smoothie! They have amazing noodle soup, so yummy. For lunch they have a special where you get added to your lunch selection, a spring roll and ice tea for only a dollar more! The food was great. It was real, home cooked quality. “This is one of our family favorite small, local restaurants in Fort Myers. The food and service is always great. My husband usually orders cheese pupusas as appetizers and according to him are the best in town and for dinner we get carne assada for us and the children, the portions are a great size and the prices are more than fair. They have recently moved to a bigger unit and the new place also looks beautiful, love the fact that they have more space now and it doesn’t feel like everyone is on top of each which we still didn’t mind because the food is so good. If you are looking for a Salvadoran cuisine restaurant in Fort Myers than I highly recommend el acajutla.”

“I went to Popeyes for the first time ever today to try the famous chicken sandwich. The customer service was excellent and the help did such a good job with all the customers who were there. The sandwich on the other hand was just OK. The chicken is good quality and the sauce is well done, but the hype over a really really really great sandwich confuses me. It’s no better than Chick-fil-A. Such a shame that so much violence was done for this mere piece of meat. 5 stars for the service, 3 stars for the sandwich, averages out to 4 stars.”
