Sanibel Fish House

The food and service were amazing without a doubt. But the restaurant take poor care of those with allergies. I ordered a cake slice that didn't list it had nuts, and I had to ask for a nutless cake slice to go. I got home and opened the box only to find that half of the cake still had nuts mixed into it. I'm deathly allergic to nuts, and this could have ended badly for me on many occasions tonight if I hadn't been wary.

When I want fried shrimp, we’ve always gone to another restaurant, but it was closed today so I googled who else had great shrimp. The Fish House came up, so we tried it for the first time. The food was great, the server was super nice, and the key lime pie was amazing. Very happy I discovered a new place on Sanibel to love! When you go, get the pie, even if you’re full. You won’t regret it ????

Our waitress was very good, the food was good. My daughter ordered the New York Strip salad, it was supposed to have avocado in it and it didn't. I mentioned it to our waitress and after checking on it informed us that avocado does not come with that salad anymore. If you change items on the menu then you need to change the menu or inform someone when you no longer offer it. Lastly the price of the salad was more expensive than they had listed on the menu.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners here! There's a large bar area separate from the dining area, so that's a plus. The decor is nice and really gives a nice beach vibe. I had the king crab - not only was the portion very large, but it was cooked perfectly! Highly recommend for a wonderful meal!

Yes, they cook your catch to perfection. And our waiter David was both professional and with a great personality. Our catch of mangrove snapper was presented perfectly with our choice of sides in a brightly lit atmosphere. Nice Job!! Well done!! Definitely coming back to try their choices.
