The food was absolutely phenomenal! The portion sizes were generous. My mom had never been to New Orleans so we took her to the French Quarters and ate qt the market this past weekend and were beyond disappointed with our alligator that tasted more like hush puppies and our shrimp and grits that was the size of a paper bowl and begged for more sauce (although my mom didn't like the sauce anyway) ...BUT Coosh's was our do over for both that experience and my husband's birthday carrot cake/cheesecake craving! Our alligator was actual alligator and our shrimp and grits was photo worthy and a HUGE hit with not just my mom, but the whole table! Our waitress was a gem-very knowledgeable about the menu, very attentive, never forgetful and very personable. The desserts were incredible! We split the caramelized cheesecake and the carrot cake and my husband was singing (literally) with joy!

Great food and atmosphere. One of the best places in Tally for breakfast. The Hangover and any breakfast wrap are my favorite. Or are you there for lunch or dinner? No prob. Try the Osceola salad, Logan Chicken wrap, burger or any of their Cajun food. Shrimp and grits are some of the best around. Atchafalaya soup is to die for. Oh, and u have to try their homemade muffins or key lime pie!!!

This place has some of the best étouffée outside New Orleans in my opinion. A lot of the food reminds me of one of my favorite restaurants in the Big Easy. The service is good and it’s a fun atmosphere. The cocktails are tasty and the prices are reasonable. Most everything I’ve gotten has been a large portion, so definitely worth the bill!

Today we tried the oyster and the shrimp poor boy which were served in a delicious large bread roll. They were great The salads are big. The outside seating is nice. The ķids got a giant wonderful chocolate muffin for dessert. Sorry about the mess.

What a mighty God we serve! He just keeps on blessing us. We have been blessed with our Friday night fish dinner all the way from New Jersey by our cousins and dear friends, Joseph and Vanessa Smith! They ordered our Jumbo Shrimp dinner and Fried Catfish dinner with an ample side of fried Gator tail (Dee-Dee's choice) from one of our favorite eating spots, Coosh's! Thank you both for your generosity and another night out of the kitchen.

I must share with you all that Dee-Dee was so ready for his catfish and gator tail that as soon as he heard the garage door open, he was standing in there motioning for me to roll down the window so he could bring the food inside to start eating. I told him he had to wait until I took a picture first. Once he picked up his containers and put them on a tray, he was giving thanks to the Lord as he was walking to the table after I took the pictures. It's chow time for me now because this food is fresh and hot!

    Kudos to Coosh's!
