This is by far the best authentic Mexican restaurant to date! Their staff is so friendly and knowledgeable with their menu. My go-to meal is their carnitas tacos, carnitas fajita burrito bowl, and their Maria’s Tostadas. They have the most unique and delicious queso dip that I’ve found since moving to Tallahassee. I highly recommend this gem!
Great service and fresh, authentic food! Casual, family friendly atmosphere. We had a very reasonable wait time on food and were surprised by how many times they checked on all the tables.
I like Mexican food. A lot. I've had it everywhere in Tally, and plenty of places between here and Texas. Traditional Mexican, Tex-Mex, the works.
This is the best Mexican Cuisine I've ever had, and I am stunned that I could get it in my hometown of all places!
Pictured: Steak Fajitas. I ate more of this than I'd prefer to admit, but it was just so good. The vegetables were fresh, and everything was deliciously seasoned instead of just saturated in oil the way some places do them. The steak was juicy, not dried out, and had excellent flavor that was well-complemented by the vegetables. Mushrooms were clearly fresh and NOT the sad kind that comes straight from a can. I'll definitely be back!
I could go on and on, but yeah, give them a try! You won't be disappointed!
I was really impressed today with this place! Will say that I usually feel suspect of counter service places (personal issue, I realize) but that didn't make a difference for my experience. The guy at the counter was useful in helping with the menu, as it was our first time. So we got the three dip appetizer, large size, and it was definitely worth the price. If you got salsa, cheese, and guac all separately, it would be 2 dollars more than the combo. So we got that and my husband ordered 3 steak tacos and I got the chille relleno.
His tacos were packed full of big, juicy steak bites with amazing flavor. And to be honest, three was a lot; next time he'll get just two. My pepper was delicious! The menu did not mention the sauce on it and I pinned it as very much like a sweet potato puree but the online menu tells me it is tomato based. Either way, good flavor and the one dollar upcharge for added beef was fair and worth it. The waiter who bustled around a very busy lunch crowd was on point, bringing water and chip refills. Given how crowded it was, they might benefit from a self serve drink area to make it easier on the wait staff but overall, an excellent lunch.
Going to shout out the staff first and foremost. We are from out of town, had no idea about the menu, or how the order process went (cross between counter service and table service). Gentleman running the restaurant walked is through the menu and their ordering process. Then after the served us, where all over making sure the drinks were topped of and if we needed anything.
Second, the food.
Outstanding! I had the steak burrito, and the steak was tender and super flavorful. My son had the need tacos and he had them gone before I had a chance to try it, so obviously awesome. Highly recommend.
