Table 23

Our family had a phenomenal experience. Our middle school aged boys really enjoyed their food. One of them got the redfish, and the restaurant prepared grilled instead of blacked for him. I had stuffed grouper, which I really enjoyed. Really good pimento cheese as well.

I honestly wish I could give “Table 23” 5 stars but there was just too many cons for me to deal with at once . First off the hostess didn’t give us the option on whether we wanted to sit inside or outside,we were automatically put outside in the cold and it was freezing making the entire time there hard to enjoy unfortunately. The Pomegranate Martini was very strong but came in a very dirty glass with fingerprints all over , I had to ask for a completely new glass due to me being so disgusted by how unsanitary the bar glasses were. Finally when the entrees came out the presentation was a bit sloppy but when I took my first bite I was actually surprised and was completely in awe by how tasteful and flavorful the shrimp and grits were. Tallahassee has been letting me down on an actual good shrimp & grits but Table 23 shocked me with body dancing homestyle Gouda Cheese Grits. so if your love shrimps and grits like I do definitely try them OUT!

I've been here probably four times over the years and never had a complaint; finally getting around to reviewing. To be fair, I've only ever ordered the Southern board and mixed drinks. This past time, we went for a friend's birthday and our group of seven all seemed pleased with their meals. I also finally ordered the cheese grits and enjoyed them immensely. If I had to pick something "wrong", our waitress seemed a bit cold and exasperated but warmed up and by the end of the meal, was very pleasant. One other suggestion would be to get some draft beer that isn't Proof. Tally has a few other (better) breweries that I'd like to see appearing on local taps.

Great place! Loved the Atmosphere, plus our waitress Shelby was awesome. We ordered our appetizer and she gave us plenty of time to enjoy our drinks and appetizer. I love the no rush on ordering the main. I highly recommend the Shoo Fly cocktail, just yum-o! My wife and I ordered our mains, she got the filet and I ordered the pork chop. When the mains came out, her was perfect but mine not so much. I cut into the chop and it still could oink at me. I told Shelby and she immediately took care of it. My only negative about our experience is that they just re-grilled my chop, but also no manger or kitchen chef came out to apologize. I wasn’t looking for a free meal but some acknowledgement would have been nice. Overall the total experience was nice, and we’ll be back. Just no pork chops will be ordered.
