“(7.11.2021) I've gone here twice with my partner and both times we had an excellent experience. The second time was just this previous weekend. Overall, it's good food for your money and the staff are all really warm and welcoming. Pros: - Good food. My partner is vegetarian and is always able to find something new to try. They are also a fan of the "make your own skillet". While the biscuits were not the best ones I've ever had, they were certainly not the worst. They make my top 5 any time. - Welcoming atmosphere. Despite how busy the restaurant was, the manager took care of us almost immediately. Our waitress (Edna I think?) was attentive to us, but not to an annoying point (if that makes sense). She was also very funny, making small talk with us while we ordered. Cons: - The weather outside (which, I understand is not in the restaurant's control). I would HIGHLY recommend you ask for a table inside. This Florida heat (and the flies) are no joke! - The wait for any table (inside or out) will require you to have to wait for a nice chunk of time. So, even if you decide to bite the bullet and say yes to "first available (table)", be prepared to have to wait. - Just a bit pricey. Take your time with the menu, especially if you're on a bit of a budget. Overall: - Highly recommend. Family friendly and the food is delicious. The staff are friendly and the ambiance of the entire place is welcoming. Just be prepared to wait for a bit and ask for indoor seating (even if it makes the wait a bit longer).”

“Ok Indian food. Nothing special. The ambiance was good and the owner was nice. So I’m not trying to be mean spirited. But the food didn’t blow my hair back or anything. The server seemed overwhelmed even though there were only four tables in the place that were occupied. But I know we’re going through a tight labor market. So it’s hard to blame them for staffing shortages. I wish them well but there are better Indian places to go to in Tallahassee.”

“Barnaby's pizza is a rare find anymore. A old wood interior pizza restaurant. They have been in Tallahassee for years. I feel the food used to be better though. The old guy isn't there nagging the employees to make it the exact same every time. And that is what you used to get. But I never know if there will be to much sauce it but enough and that kind of thing but they still make a great pizza.”

Don't know how I missed this place, but when I walked in, I was treated like a long-time customer. She was so nice. “Let me tell you what I had on this glorious Thursday!! Konch from King Konch (2405 South Munroe St.). This food is a taste of the Caribbean in ways I cannot explain with giving the food proper justice via a good picture! I had the Konch fritters with home-made fries, and hush puppies! The Konch tasted like I went down to Miami and enjoyed some fresh Konch on the Florida coast! I washed it down with a mango juice with fresh pineapples on the cup! I would also like to point out that the owner was friendly and helped me pick something good out. Everything is made fresh, so it does take a moment longer than other places, but the food makes it worth the wait! Make your way here and taste a piece of the Caribbean in good old Tallahassee!”

“They have a small menu that isn’t that diverse. It took 25 minutes to get the check since the waiter was focused on this one table. This one table had to split the tab between a huge group of boys, so while the waiter was doing this, he completely forgot to give us the check. We had to get the check from a different waiter. You should be ready to wait on a busy weekend when huge groups of college students are there since they have to split the tab between the group. However, the chicken sandwich was good which is why I am giving a three star rating rather than one.”

“As someone who used to go to this location when it was Proof, I was excited to try the craft house. Beer prices were a bit high, but they did have specials; just nothing I wanted to drink. Pretzel was fine; chicken dip was tasty but almost too spicy - I tasted more heat than flavor. I'd go back and try other stuff though. ETA after owner response: I meant that of the beers on special, I didn't find one I wanted. They seemed to be aimed at people who like seltzers and that's just not me. I know that puts me in the minority these days because non-beer drinkers want to pretend they are but so be it. I will try again at another date.”

“Halisi is AMAZING! The owner is very kind and motherly. This week I dropped by and bought a gorgeous south African Jasper pendant, African curry seasoning which is delicious (I put it in my lentil soup) and I also tried the Egyptian Guava drink which was also very delicious. I love how insightful the owner is and very welcoming when introducing new flavors and taste. They sell beautiful clothing, jewelry, spices and their African black soap is the best. The owner also plays the most FYE music from African Musicians!”
